The Project Power of Art in Politics aims to build up a bridge
between young artists and activists from Armenia and Georgia, connecting and
sharing their experiences in art and activism, developing common follow-up
activities, using art as means of addressing common socio-political issues.
Project targets 20 young artists and activists aged 18-30 from different parts of
Armenia and Georgia, who are interested to learn about each others’ individual
experiences and develop collaborative projects tackling common socio-political
issues in the region through art.
The Power of Arts in Politics considers involvement and participation of the
local communities. Project participants develop the exhibition/show in a
public space, where the wide audience is invited to see the project results
and be introduced to the social-political issues raised and addressed by the
project through exhibition.
Program will be held in English.
Program Schedule and Structure:
1st Phase – Kick off Meeting- 1-4 July, Boo Alternative House, Vanadzor,
2nd Phase -Mentoring -July, August
3rd Phase – The Show -27-29 September, Nukriani village, Georgia
