Iris Group is looking for participants for the project: SAVE – Safe youth Against Gender based Violence.
Gender based violence (GBV) is recognized as a violation of basic human rights with impacts on the health and social status of survivors of GBV, as well as on society as a whole. The Training Course “Safe youth Against Gender based Violence” (SAVE), will introduce participants to general definitions, concepts and normative and legal frameworks related to concepts of gender-based violence. Indeed, the course will cover forms, causes and consequences of GBV in different contexts. The course will provide basic knowledge and skills to youth workers on GBV through frontal lessons and practical workshops with a particular attention to “hate speech” topic.
Indeed, the Training Course “Safe youth Against Gender based Violence” (SAVE) is a 9-days training course and the main objective is to offer to participants useful and new gender competencies and skills to implement in their workplace in order to prevent and fight against GBV. The course will be addressed to 30-35 participants coming from 7 different countries. Participants will learn, practice and produce new graphic and video tools, learn how to use online space to fight gender stereotypes, prejudices, sexism, violence and online hate speech.
The training course will be based on non-formal education methods, encouraging active participation of young people involved: invited experts, intercultural and experiential learning and brainstorming and discussions both in working groups and in plenary will deepen the topic.
SAVE is looking for participants
- Between 18 – 30 years old;
- Are youth workers, youth leaders, trainers, organizers and coaches;
- Have interest in the topic;
- Willing to learn;
- Able to work in English;
- Committed to attend for the full duration of the Training Course.

Terms and Conditions: Please, be aware that the project covers 70% of the international travel costs (max in the amount of 360 EUR can be reimbursed), 30% of the travel costs has to be born by the participants. Participants purchase the tickets independently and the 70% of the travel costs will be reimbursed on spot in Sulmona. Ticket with extra days will not be reimbursed.
